JE (Jackes-Evans) is a long-established American solenoid valve brand within SKINNER, built around refrigeration solenoid valves: on/off control of liquid lines, suction lines and hot-gas defrost circuits, and just as widely used for switching water, air and other general fluids. Valve bodies are brass or stainless steel, and coils and bodies are replaceable separately, making JE a standard component in commercial refrigeration and washing equipment.
Features
Direct-acting and pilot-operated designs: direct-acting for low-flow circuits, pilot-operated for larger liquid and suction lines
Brass or stainless steel bodies with ODF solder or threaded connections, following refrigeration piping practice
Coils supplied separately from bodies: R-23 and other coils can be replaced in the field, AC or DC voltages available
UL and CSA listed, with the MOPD (maximum opening pressure differential) stated on the nameplate for straightforward selection
Metal-housing or encapsulated coils for oily, damp or lead-wire-wired machine installations
Applications
Car wash machines: switching high-pressure water, detergent and wax lines under continuous cycling and outdoor humidity
Commercial washing machines and dryers: automatic control of water, hot water and steam circuits
Refrigeration and cold storage: liquid-line and suction-line solenoid valves and hot-gas defrost valves
Ice makers, water dispensers and beverage machines: low-flow water and refrigerant circuits
Dishwashers and food machinery: water and steam on/off control
